Grand overseas holiday plans went out the window the moment lockdown was announced. Cooped up in the four stone walls of our house we were reduced to fantasising about palm trees, tropical fish scampering away in turquoise waters and hot sand burning the soles of our feet.
But as the nasty little lockdown was relaxed, we crawled from under the rock (where had been buried for the past five months) and went on our intrepid journeys into the English countryside: fields and water meadows, Burnham-on-Sea, Cotswolds. Discoveries of great beauty and ancient mysteries were made along the way. I have made a short collage to keep the memories fresh in my mind.
